Extension - State of Local Emergency

The RM of Buckland No. 491 Council has extended the State of Local Emergency until May 18, 2026, as a precautionary measure due to continued concerns regarding potential flooding in the area. Elevated water levels along the Little Red River and ongoing weather conditions continue to pose a risk to local infrastructure, properties, and public safety.

The RM will continue to monitor conditions closely and work with emergency management partners to respond as needed. Residents are encouraged to stay informed, use caution near waterways, and follow any updates or advisories issued by the RM.
