How and When Can I Vote?

RM of Buckland No. 491 – 2026 Division 2 Councillor Election

The RM of Buckland wants to make it as easy as possible for eligible Division 2 voters to participate in the upcoming Councillor Election.

There are three ways to cast your vote: at an advance poll, on Election Day, or by mail-in ballot.

1. Advance Voting

If you are unable to vote on Election Day or would simply like to vote early, there are two advance voting opportunities available:

  • Wednesday, October 28, 2026: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM

  • Saturday, October 31, 2026: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

2. Election Day

Monday, November 9, 2026

Voting hours: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Eligible Division 2 voters can cast their ballots in person on Election Day.

3. Mail-In Ballots – New Voting Option!

Can't make it to the polls? Need a little more flexibility?

The RM of Buckland is pleased to offer mail-in ballots for the upcoming Division 2 Councillor Election.

This option allows eligible voters to request a ballot package and complete their vote without having to attend a polling station in person.

How do I request a mail-in ballot?

Please contact the RM Office for information on the application process, requirements, and how to return your completed ballot.

Important Update: The RM is currently ordering the necessary election supplies. We will provide an update once these supplies have arrived and mail-in ballot packages are available.

Who Can Vote?

Voting in this election is limited to individuals who meet the eligibility requirements to vote for the Division 2 Councillor in the RM of Buckland No. 491.
