Provincial Disaster Assistance Program
The RM will be requesting designation under the Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP) for this spring flooding event. For more information on the program, you can visit the official site here: Sask Public Safety - PDAP
While we wait for the formal application window to open, it is critical that residents keep thorough records. PDAP requires detailed evidence to process claims.
Please keep track of the following:
- Detailed Photos: Take "before" and "after" photos of all damaged areas and items before you begin repairs or disposal.
- Labour Logs: Keep a log of all "man-hours" spent on clean-up or flood prevention.
- Equipment Usage: Record the type of equipment used (e.g., pumps, fans, tractors), including the model number and total hours operated.
- Purchases & Invoices: Save all receipts for items purchased for clean-up, emergency repairs, or damage prevention (e.g., sandbags, cleaning supplies).
- Insurance Correspondence: Contact your insurance provider early; you will eventually need a letter from them detailing what is or isn't covered.
Forms will be made available as soon as the RM's designation is finalized. You will be able to access them:
Online: Links will be posted here on the RM website.
In-Person: Paper copies will be available at the RM office.
For now, focus on safety and documentation. We will notify the community as soon as the forms are ready for pick-up and submission
